“Is Levi settled?” Jack asked as he walked into our bedroom.

“Yeah. He’s finally calmed down and getting used to the new sleeping arrangements.”

We’d put him in his own room a couple of weeks ago, and he was finally adjusting to the change.

I was too. I loved that boy with all my heart, but he snored like Uncle Levi. I’d been worried that it was something serious, but Lourdes had finally put her foot down and told me the baby was fine and if I wanted to get a good night’s sleep, I’d stop dragging my feet.

I glanced over at Jack as he toed off his boots. “Surprised to see you back so early.”

Jack dropped onto the bed, still in his pants. “Evan told me to fuck off.”

I laughed and pulled back the covers. “Get out of my bed with those dirty pants on.”

He dutifully obliged, and I enjoyed the view as he stripped down and then got in on his side. I still couldn’t believe we made the bed every day. Jack couldn’t kick the habit, and even though I thought it was stupid, I loved our little nightly ritual.

I curled next to Jack, smiling in the star-brightened darkness. “Evan’s been here six months, and you’ve barely given him a minute alone.”

Jack grumbled. “Same shit he said.”

“He’s right.”

“Taking his side, huh?” Jack growled as he pulled me against his chest.

I caressed his cheek, stroked my thumb against his bottom lip. “He’s not going anywhere. None of us are.”

I pressed a kiss to his throat. Felt his pulse jump.

“Asia…” His voice was a warning and a question.

I didn’t delay my answer.

“Levi's weaned.”

He slid his hand to my hip and dug his fingers in. “And?”

“And Miranda left me a very thoughtful gift.”

I kissed him slow. He broke the kiss and stared at me in the way that was reserved for me alone.

I kissed him again. “Always, Jack. No matter what.”

He flipped me under him before I finished the word…
